pubX has had a growing presence across APAC throughout 2026 and today marks a step change in how we operate in the region. We’re introducing our first dedicated leadership on the ground: Takami Kowalski takes on the role of Managing Director APAC, and Andrew Gilbert joins as Country Manager, ANZ, bringing pubX’s agentic advertising platform for publishers and the buy side to markets across the region.
Takami Kowalski – MD APAC

Takami has been building pubX’s presence in APAC since late 2025, successfully deploying pubX technology onto over 150 publishers in Japan and securing partnerships with several supply and demand-side networks.
Before pubX, Takami spent several years in strategy consulting at Bain & Company where he advised clients in Japan, the US, and the UK on corporate strategy, M&A, and due diligence. He moved into adtech when he joined FLUX, where he built the adtech partnerships team and led the team behind one of Japan’s largest Series B raises in 2023. He then founded Uinta Partners, an independent agency advising adtech companies on Japan market entry and go-to-market strategy.
Andrew Gilbert — Country Manager, ANZ

Andrew brings over 16 years in digital advertising, spanning both the buy side and the sell side. As VP Advertising at Afterpay (Block Inc.), he led the team that built Afterpay Ads from a standing start into one of Australia’s first payments-led commerce media networks — a model that went on to become the strategic blueprint for Block’s US media network.
Before that, he was Director of Commercial and Solutions at Yahoo DSP across Australia and South-East Asia, with earlier roles at Eyeota, Integral Ad Science, Vodafone, and on the agency side. He also publishes Systems That Decide, a newsletter analysing the structural economics of programmatic, retail media, and the shift to agentic advertising.
Building for what’s next
As agentic advertising moves from concept to market reality, publishers and the buy side across APAC stand to gain from a platform built to represent both sides of the transaction. With Takami and Andrew now on the ground, pubX is positioned to bring that to the region directly.
“Takami’s track record in Japan and Andrew’s experience building one of Australia’s first commerce media networks are exactly the expertise we need on the ground as we scale pubX’s modular agentic platform globally. APAC is one of the regions that will define where pubX goes next, as we help publishers and the buy side move toward machine-scale decision-making. We now have the leadership in place to build there at pace.”
